There is a small chance you will contract the disease, but there is still a chance. The choice should be left up to you. As a parent only you can make the choices for yourself and child.

Tattooing during breastfeeding has the same risks as if you were pregnant. If you are worried about contracting any diseases then it is best to wait. After all if something does happen there will be no regrets. There will always be a tattoo parlor waiting for you to get a new tattoo.
Just remember if you cannot wait, make sure to do our research on the place that you will be using. Even if your not pregnant or breastfeeding it may be important to know what to look for in a good tattoo parlor.
